In 1968, Night of the Living Dead changed the landscape of the American horror film. A mistake on the part of the distributor, and outdated copyright laws, left the film without enforceable federal copyright protection from the waves of home video distributors that sprang up from the 1980s to the present. Hundreds of different VHS, Betamax, Laserdisc, DVD, Blu-Ray and a myriad of other niche formats have been released worldwide.

Night of the Living Tapes is a passion project curated by lifelong Living Dead collector and fanatic, Geoff Turner. Many of the items displayed here are from the author’s personal collection, others have been generously provided by collectors and fans from around the world.
